Thank you @Dave Visaya, @Mike Cumbie, @Eddie Atkinson, & @Brian Bandas!  I am very excited about the BP community.  It is so much knowledge and information just sitting here waiting to be absorbed.  I don't know why more ppl I've come across haven't mentioned BP.  The members are also very open to provide any info they have on topics of discussion...Very Awesome!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Jevaris but everyone calls me JV. I am located in Kennesaw, GA which is right outside of Atlanta. I am fairly new to posting on BP but I have been checking the site now for a couple months. Like many, I am engaging more in residential development. My long term is to acquire a RE portfolio that will sustain me and my interest through retirement and also serve as a legacy tool for my children. I am currently solidifying the foundation so that each brick laid will not need to be redone. I purchased a home for my mom some years back but now use it as a rental. This gave me a bit of experience in Land Lording, property management, and tenant screening. Presently I am looking for my first home to flip in the Greater Atlanta area.

I really like the BP website and believe the more you learn and apply, the more you mitigate the risk.  I am looking for individuals in the Atlanta area that specialize in RE accounting, other RE investors that don't mind pesky question's from the newb, and like minded ppl in general who from time to time need that inspirational push.

Good morning @Laura Da Silva!  Its awesome that you will be moving into a home you now have made your own. That's got to be the best feeling.  

I have also planned to go the HUD 203K program route on my next home. I had similar concerns but assumed the contractor's authorized to work on these deals were of a higher caliber. I am not abreast of the details to the program and would run some questions by you if you wouldn't mind.
