What methods of determing comps is everyone having the best luck with?

Hello BP I justed moved to the houston area, I'm new to REI. I'm looking to get into SFH buy and hold BRRR. So if anyone in the area needs a hand with a renovation I am a plumber and can do light carpentry. I would like to give someone a hand and talk REI.

What were the first methods you use to finance you first investment flip or rental property?

My name is Joe Brasile  from long island NY.  I am currently a plumber and have done carpenty in the past. I'm  looking to get into house flipping I think the skills i have would help cut costs in the flipping process. If anyone has any recommendations  on videos or books that would help me get started I appreciate It!
