For our Memphis Investors, can you all recommend your top picks for General Contractors in terms of who is easy to work with, effective in time management and project completion, and licensed/insured?

Hey BP! I'm looking for a private money lender to assist on the acquisition of a rental portfolio. 18 properties in Ripley, TN with 14 of them cash flowing and the others rent ready. Asking $822k total for all. So a little over 45k each.

Good morning David,  thanks for the update from your experience.  Just contacted them earlier this morning.

Also thank-you for the update Dean. I saw some mixed views regarding property management, but the Brokerage has seemed pretty upstanding. Shoot me an e-mail later. Thanks!

@Curt Davis--- I wasn't aware Crestcore did renovations to homes as well. So that is something I could talk to them about? Also we are looking to flip the property retail. Could I connect with you Curt for some work suggestions?

@Koleton Daley -- Oh goodness that sounds like an absolutely terrible time for you. I decided to look over some reviews and they are pretty mixed. Good experiences with certain people and bad experiences with others. Especially on rentals and property management. Could you message me and tell me a bit about your experience?

Hey there BP family! So my partner and I just recently got a property under contract here in Memphis, TN. It's in the 38116 zip code. 5bd, 3.5 baths with a few extra powder rooms and 4500 square foot of space. ARV was estimated between 180-200k from Crestcore. Buying price is 58k with seller, assignment of contract, and closing costs wrapped up.

If someone from BP would be willing we could use help with getting accurate estimates on the repair costs, building a scope of work, and meeting some recommended contractors for the job. We would be very grateful if an experienced rehabber here can message to assist!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Eric, welcome to Bigger Pockets! Glad you decided to come check out the resources here. Get to the podcasts man; they're definitely gold for anything you want to learn about. Read the forums too when you have some time. Great source of educating yourself on whatever niche you want to get involved with--especially wholesaling.

Hey there Kyle,

Welcome back to Memphis! Hope the market and networking you need to prosper your deals with investments through your group become tight knit from our local community. I am admittedly much newer to the Memphis Investing Scene; however, would love to connect in the future as a local Wholesaler to fit your criteria. If you need a good connection from Realtors/Investors then I recommend communicating with Douglas Skipworth of CrestCore Realty. He's been a very positive influence thus far from my end.

Best of Luck!

I haven't seen any active meet and greets setup for Real Estate Investors in the Memphis area, but I am fairly new to the market myself. However, from what I've picked up on reading through forums and recommendations a good point of interest to meet other investors besides these forums would be the local REIA (Real Estate Investor's Association) chapter. I believe it is called MIG (Memphis Investors Group). Otherwise you could sponsor an event to meet with others as well.
