Hi Joel,

I’m a investor and real estate agent in New Bedford and have looked at MF in FR. Look in the area of Walnut St, Maple St, Weetamoore St, and around Charlton Hospital. That area for some time have appreciated in value but the price will reflect as such.

I have not invested in FR but have in NB because of a deal that I found, and the numbers worked. Good luck with the investing. Always do your due diligent and reach out any time.

Best of luck and

Hello,

A higher education is worth it think of it as a backup plan. Be smart about what loans you take out. Personally, I have my master’s in international business and the 8-5 pay is great, however I’m lucky were I also have the time to do real estate so one day to escape the rat race. But the 8-5 salary has helped me get funding for my deals. Don’t get me wrong I am a entrepreneur first and there’s no limit to your success. Find a balance until the RE career takes off. Nothing wrong in doing both.

Best of luck!

John

Welcome to the RE world and Bigger Pockets. I'm from New Bedford and work in Boston well, Waltham. I started looking into passive investing and ended up being a project mgr. on a flip. I am still interested in passive income and now looking into buy and hold multifamily and or commercial.

I agree with Taylor's lesson # 1 and yes, meeting face to face lessons any anxieties and confirms your gut feelings. Always here to brainstorm.

Best,

John

Hi Alex,

Just strolling thru the local real estate forum and came across your posting. I know I'm a bit late but a response. First, welcome to Bigger Pockets and much success in your RE future. I live in New Bedford and finishing my first flip this month and I'm a license realtor. To answer your first question. I heard.. South Shore Real Estate Investor Group in Middleboro MA is a good networking meetup. I believe they had a meeting on Oct. 21st. 2nd question, I know the local area and now looking to purchase a multifamily 3 or commercial.  If you want to talk RE always here.

Take care,

John

Hi Anthony, Everyone will have a list of what they are looking for in a partner but for what's it's worth this a short list of what I look for. 1) Integrity 2) Goal alignment 3) Hard working 4) Business character 5) Personable The second question; if you have access to capital, are your good in analyzing numbers, research, tech savy, these are a few things you can bring to the table. You may have other transferable skills that you’re not aware of that can help an experience investor. It’s in you. Best of luck and success! John

Hello everyone ! My first flip is coming to a end two more inspections and the for sale sign goes up. Now I'm looking for a multifamily 3 units or more for my 1031 Exchange. I am welcoming any advice or shared experience doing a 1031 exchange. Also, interested in discussing ideas of partnerships and or business strategies to help everyone grow.

P.S flip is a single family home

Thank you,

John S
