Hi everyone hope you're all on the path to achieving your real estate goals! I live in NY and like many have decided to start investing however the prices here are astronomical. I've saved enough for a low down payment to get a great property in other states.
I've been thinking and decided that the best course of action for me is to move to one of these low priced cities and start investing such as Orlando. Does anyone want to weigh in on this or has been in a similar situation as mine? Any feedback or suggestion would be helpful

Hi everyone! Hope you all are reaching your full potential in real estate. I have been working as a real estate agent (1099/ self employed) in NYC for the past 2 years. I finally decided to start investing and to use FHA. I want to focus in Orlando, Fl. The issue is when I called Quicken Loans they told me that since I am self employed it would be hard for me use FHA in anther state because I haven't showed income there. I've also tried using my cousin who lives in Florida and I would be the co signer but they said cousins cannot be considered as co-signers. Is there any solution to this dilemma? I really want to use FHA for Orlando

He thanks guys for replying. @Taron Jackson, @James Park, @Darren Sager I believe that NY overall is not really a good place because of the high property taxes, tenant friendly laws, and high prices. However I am considering to buy a complex that has more than 20 units and is in neighboring states. I'm also trying to see which cities are the best to have such an investment. Let me know what you guys think.

Thank you @John Hickey. I never considered using keywords. I'll try that and I will make something happen.

Thank you perfect answer @Account Closed. Since I am young how do you suggest I go about networking with high net worth individuals or institutions since I have no credentials yet? And also where to find them because I doubt they are in my local real estate club.
