Hello everyone!

I am active duty Navy, getting ready to get out and I want to start learning the business any way I can.  I have a TON of time that I typically just spend reading real estate books and listening to various real estate podcasts and youtube videos.

Bottom line is, I want to find someone already in this business whom I can be of service to.  Whether that be finding deals, answering phones, or whatever.  Let's find something that can benefit both of us.

I am located in Portsmouth, but I work out at Norfolk Naval Base, so travel is not really an issue (I also drive a Prius ;))

Can't wait to hear from you guys!

Cheers,

Josh

@Trey BrooksGood on you man, I am 25 and I wish I would have spent more time getting my finances in order years ago, instead I didn't really start until I was 24.  I know where you're coming from with everyone wanting the "Stable 9-5," it can be frustrating sometimes, not knowing any like minded people.  I have only just recently met the first other person who thinks like me (Aside from my wife of course)

Anyway, quick about me, I have been in the Navy for the last six years and I am going to be moving to Dallas at the end of the year to settle my family. Originally from Houston, and working on my MBA. I am an REI newb as well, and I plan to start as soon as I get out to Dallas. Obviously I am always looking for new friends in the Dallas area, so if there is anything I can do just let me know!

Cheers,

Josh

P.S. - What area of Dallas are you in exactly?

To jump in here, is the conclusion then to read both?  I probably will anyway, but if I don't need to then all the better!

Greetings everyone!  I am a new investor moving to the Dallas area in a few months.  I am originally from Houston, and am currently in Virginia via the Navy.  I am doing my best to get to know some DFW investors and the like!  I thought I would say hello in this thread, and @Adam Wright I would love to join your mailing list for the future.  I would post my email, but it seems others have been deleted recently.

Glad to meet you all!

@Derrick Houston Thank you Derrick!  Glad to meet another Navy vet!  Right now I am worrying about securing work in the area before I do anything else.  Trying to switch from the technical field (And get paid decently) is proving to be a challenge.

Hello everyone!

I am a separating veteran, and I plan to move to the DFW area in the next six months or so, and want to begin my REI career when I get there. I just want to say hello, and maybe connect with some like minded people. Hope to hear from you all!

Cheers

@Scott Trenchand @Mindy Jensenthank you for the advice! Turns out the old version of IE on my office computer doesn't work well with this web site!  Problem solved when I logged in from home.

Cheers,

Josh

Maybe I am just blind, but I am in the "manage keyword alerts" page, and I cannot figure out how to delete a keyword.  Thanks in advance for help!

Hello everyone!

I am wondering if any of you have every heard of an area in which one would fin it difficult if not impossible to get positive cash flow?  This seems like a blanket statement that could not possibly be true.
