Being a beginner at rei myself I can't be of much help to you there, but I did move to Indy from Illinois nearly two years ago and let me tell you it's great here.

The east side, in my opinion, offers the space, affordability, and newer development that sets it apart from say the North (great market but much higher prices) and the South (a bit antagonized).

I welcome you to the Indy in advance. Congrats on the move!

It so happens Ive been looking into his wholsaling program. Im curious now to see if the "fraud" allegations are baked into the course or if it was simply his deals, not his system, that got him in trouble.

Thanks for the heads up though Ill look into it.

Welcome to BP!

You will definately want to take in as much as you can and zoom in on the podcasts related to wholesaling if that's what you are looking to do. One of the best BP podcasts on the topic is episode 176.

Very motivatiinal and informative while demonstrating that imperfect action is always better than analysis paralysis.

Good luck!

It absolutely depends on your strategy, your grit, your resources, your creativity, your network arsenal, etc. Someone is living there now right? So someone is probably renting them out also (we hope). Maybe not so easy for a new investor but often doable.

I totally buy into the value networking on BP adds to a business. Great article, thanks for sharing.

Ha, on the upside, this will keep some out of state competitors out of my Indy market! Awesome resource by the way!

Use the Bigger Pockets Community tab (under Find Members) to find investors in the area you want to wholesale. You can look them up by zip code and occupation. Use it to find cash buyers (usually flippers), and other wholesalers you may be able to help you understand the market.

Yellow Letters works. But then again, just about any list will work when worked properly. Have variety in the lists you us. Don't sit and camp and the same two lists forever.
