@Gavin M. If it is just the look you are after then install vinyl flooring that has that pattern, not hard to get and it’s cheap and easy.
Good luck with your reno!

@David Duquette
Walk it with at least 3 contractors and get them to submit to you a detailed SOW and price breakdown to get your property rent ready. Compare all 3 SOWs and choose which items you want completed and get the best contractor to revise their estimate based on your final chosen SOW. That will be your best way to learn but still lean on the pros. Don’t forget to vet the contractors and do your research. Implement an air tight contract and only release payment as work is completed (set a milestone payment schedule).
Good luck!

Hey Julie, no I haven't used anyone in Sacramento yet. I went to Ohio instead. Will make it to Sacramento eventually. Good luck in your search, contractors are busy in Cali so be patient.

Hey BP members!
New Aussie investor looking for buy and hold multifamily units in Columbus Ohio. I welcome any recommendations to help build my team as I will be an out of state investor (living in Cali). My goal is to purchase 5 positive cash flow multifamily units in the next 3 years.
Happy hunting to all like minded people.
Cheers,
Josh

Hey Biggerpockets members,
I am a new real estate investor that needs your help for contractor recommendations in Sacramento California. I plan on buy-and-hold strategy and am looking at renovating an older model home. I appreciate any help you can give!
