Post: Help me think-A Beautiful (AND Creative) Mind is our Work

Around the world, soccer is known as the beautiful game. In the 2014 NBA finals, the San Antonio Spurs, in vanquishing the Miami Heat, executed what I thought was some of the most beautiful offensive, team basketball in the past decade. Both of these examples are built on working with a team and extreme creativity within a set of parameters.

I am new to really diving into real estate investing, but the more I study and I glean information from the likes of people on BP, I realize that REI is not a one size fits all. It is not, you must follow this one path. I get enough of that stuff at my day job and it simply KILLS my creativity and motivation. I have found with REI that I can open my mind and solve puzzles and I must think outside of the box (especially when you really have zero of your own money available to invest!). From Indiana to New York to California to Kansas and Louisiana and back again. There are two common themes. 1) You MUST find a deal. "If you can't sell your deal, then you don't have a deal," as @Shawn Holsapple said in BP Podcast 136 (and many others on this sight have echoed). And 2) You must think creatively.  REI truly is the beautiful "occupation!"

Please, take a moment and share with BP your most creative deal. Maybe share how you had to get really creative just to start in REI, or get around a specific obstacle to truly make things happen instead of letting life pass you by.

Hey Ross! Awesome job on going Pro. That will allow you to do a member search for all of NY. You will be able to connect with people quicker if you spend a little time every day for the next week simply searching the areas you want to invest in. Also, there are keyword alerts on this site, so by typing "New York" in this post hopfully a bunch of investors from your area should come and give a response. Set your keywords up to help you see relevant posts. Good luck to you!

Hey Daniel! Big time welcome to BP. This is a great place to connect with people from all over the country but specifically in your area. You can do a member search for you zip code and it will bring all your local members up on a page and you can begin to connect with them. This might get you rolling a little more. Good luck to you and keep the passion going!

Hey Rob! Great to see fellow Hoosiers on here. Im from the other end of the state across the river from Louisville. Everyone says to meet with all the local REIAs you can. Also, connect with as many members on BP you can, inside and outside your area. It is amazing the relationships that can develop. Excellence over success, but excellence leads to success! Good luck brother.

Hey! Welcome to BP Zack. This is a great place to connect with folks. Being interested in property management, I assume you have read about Ken McElroy and his management company. That is a great place to glean some insight. Keep connecting and asking questions around BP.
