@Will Kenner

It makes sense, I figured as much I just wanted feedback and yeah 10 months isn't much but voo returned 2k on 10k in the last 2 years (not my money)

However I know I can always access the funds, given the market is doing well.

Thank you for your input I really appreciate it may I ask which market you're in

Hey guys, so I'm saving to invest in my first home here in the next 10 months, I was thinking putting my savings in the bank doesn't do me any good, maybe for liquidity and stability

However 10 months is a while and so I was wondering.

Where do you guys park your savings?

Cd?

Bank?

Index funds ?

Thanks in advance

@Lucia Rushton I'm definitely committed and I will have my first house this year !

Quick question , where should I park savings? Index funds? Etfs?

I want them to grow while I continue to save more instead of collecting dust in some 0.001% apy bank account , any recommendations?

@Kevin Street

Hello Kevin! God bless you first of all

Second, congratulations on your journey, I'm also just starting out and me and my wife have cone extremely conservative on saving because the Dallas market is unreal right now, homes selling for almost double the asking price it's really scary, but motivating too.

On the side note we have also been looking into side hustles to save more money we have 8 months eat until our lease ends and we gotta make the move!

Maybe you can show me a few pointers on how to sell some shoes ,hahaha or some side hustles ! Look forward to networkin with you .

@Blake Wood wow amazing man, I'm in Dallas and the same boat as you except I only have about 20k to put down atm, and I don't really know many people, but I've been attending reia meetings and connecting with people.

Congratulations on your move and just go for it man I'd be lucky to even find something listed that cashflows here!

@Bruce Lynn I'm nit a veteran by the way I meant veteran investors as investors who are and have been in the field for a long time, and well I thought with. Dpa you could buy any home that could be purchased with the down payment offer but it really sucks to see how the market is doing, I mean everyone keeps saying find a deal, and what not but how would I get a mortgage on a house that's already owned, unless I did subject 2 or wholesale but even then how would.i go about getting my first home it's kind of stressful.
