Does a duplex even qualify for a VA loan? If it does, I think your only option would be house hacking due to residency requirement. Am I on the right path Pros?

Hi, I'm Julia Shevchenko, and I recently reignited my passion for REI. I used to flip and buy and hold with my mother ten years ago in Northern California, Modesto area. I just finished my BBA with concentration in Entrepreneurship and eager to start a career and continue learning. I almost got sucked into a Guru workshop until I found review on BP, since I have taken the REI fundamentals course and started listening to podcasts and reading blogs. That was two days ago! This place is AMAZING!!! My goal right now is to find a team/mentor that I could work with to learn Wholesales, fix and flips, buy and holds. Then, eventually get into rental complexes for steady income and a diversified portfolio. The market here in Southern California is intimidating due to high prices and competition, but I think that's a great learning environment. Looking forward to meeting the community over coffee and blogs. Stay classy!

That story is amazing, a true testament to visualization and believe and hard work of course. I'm a bit intimidated to start in San Diego in the current market, at least there are tons of options for everything.
