There are a lot of opportunities in real estate investing and it can be fun thinking about the possibilities.

Negotiating against yourself is one of the easiest and worst things you can do. Have you given them a written offer for the $75 each? Perhaps actually handing them a piece of paper to let them know you are serious will be enough to at least get the conversation started again without you changing your offer.

Welcome to BP Mark. I try to reach out to all the new BP members but especially those serving in the military. I actually started investing several years ago while I was still active duty Air Force (Maintenance Officer). Thanks for your service!

BP has a ton of great resources (forums, blog, podcasts, e-books, beginners guide, etc) but I think the best resource is the combined knowledge and experience of the members.

Please think about uploading a profile picture, it helps enhance the sense of community throughout the community. Good luck to you!

Welcome to BP Nikolette! I am also a big fan of purchasing a duplex and occupying one side (a great way to get started in real estate investing). If you haven't yet you should check out the other areas of the site (blog, podcasts, etc), as there are some great resources here.

Good luck to you and stay active here on BP!

Welcome to BP John! If you haven't found the blog, podcasts and e-books yet make sure you browse the site...BP offers a ton of resources. Congrats on the upcoming closing!

Gold looks like it will have its worst 2-day loss since 1983...other commodities are being hit too.
