I have not taken "Advanced Training" from them so I cannot comment on the quality of the material...I will however bash their prices all day long. I don't care how good the material is, they are over priced and there are many many options out there that you can receive quality information for 1/4 the price.

I am a strong supporter of BP and I think that if someone dedicates them self to this site (which is free) they will learn a huge amount of information on pretty much any REI subject. There are REAL investors here that make their money investing, not selling course material...and yes that applies to the people on here that have course material for sale as well.

If someone wants to learn all they have to do is post a question on the forum and start a dialog with the huge group of readily available investors. This is not some marketing statement, this is real world and I stand to gain $0.00 by voicing my thoughts to you...and I do mean thoughts and not opinion because this is a fact that I see on a daily basis here.

There are courses out there that have very good information and ones out there that are flat out bogus. If a course is good and fairly priced, people will discuss it on here and give it good reviews...I don't think the RD material fits that mold.

I read that some of you have had pretty rotten experiences with buyer's agents.

Not all of us are bad and some of us (myself included) truly do work 15-20 hours a day keeping up on properties for our clients.

Very truly yours,

Heidi,

This is not the place for self promotion. I'm glad to see that your an agent that works hard for your clients, however if your going to stick around here I would recommend toning down on the self promo stuff and getting actively involved in the forums by using your experience to help out.

Maybe you could start a blog on here about teaching Investors how to properly use their Buyers agent? Or write an article on the benefits of using a Buyers agent and how an investor can take advantage of that relationship?

In some areas you might get better deals going with REO's but I think your best deals are going to come from TRUE wholesalers. A good Wholesaler will find the deals that nobody else does and if you are a serious buyer you can snatch up their deals without the competition your going to find when making offers on REO's.

If you looking for lots of deals you'll want to make offers on REO's as well as dealing with all of the legitimate Wholesalers in your area. I don't care how long someone has been in the business, if they are overlooking the need for Wholesalers they WILL miss some VERY good deals.

Keep an open mind and explore all your options.

I can't believe you guys who are buyer's agents are letting the listing agent double dip and take your 3%.

Do you think by doing so you have made it up? It is very interesting for me reading your philosophy. I have to mentally knock it as being absurd, but maybe I am the one wrong.

Just because your way works for you doesn't mean it will work for everyone else with a license. Some markets are tighter then others and I agree that allowing the listing agent to double dip only makes the offer stronger. If you really want the deal, you may have to give up your 3%. Personally, I find it very difficult to tell someone that their way is "absurd" if they were successful doing things their way.

If I had my license, I would probably make my own offers and collect the 3% as well but that is just me. Just because other people don't do it that way doesn't mean they're philosophy is wrong. There are multiple ways to be successful in this business and whatever way someone chooses to go, if they find success I say ROLL WITH IT!

The people on unemployment are the ones I would really like to find out about some how though.

Why not try to advertise in the spots that the unemployed people are most likely to view...craigslist and your local paper. You could always post in the employment section with your message. Just a thought.

I think using the listing agent makes sense, you all make strong arguments that are hard to contest. I would have to agree that an offer from a buyers agent does look weaker then the direct offer, especially since they get to double dip....ALL realtors like that.

Post: Printing my own "Yellow Letter"

I FOUND A WAY!

What I had to do was put the letter into a graphics program that I have, then I put every sentence into its own box so that I could move them up or down.

After all the text was able to be moved up, down or side to side as needed I printed the letter on blank white paper, then put the yellow lined paper over it to see how everything lined up. After printing out 5 or 6 pages and making changes along the way I finally found a setting that was right on the lines.

Save and print as needed! The program I used is called "The Print Shop Deluxe 22". I've been using it for years for logo's, business cards, brochures, etc....and now for YELLOW LETTERS!
