Survey: For investors who Drive For Dollars as a strategy for getting leads. How long did it take you to get a deal? What location was the deal in?

I honestly don't know.  I simply drive for dollars for two reasons.  You need to know the market you are going to invest in and it's just another strategy that can create more income for you.  I can tell you that at least on a monthly basis we get a deal from driving for dollars whether it is FSBOs, For Rent Signs, seeing move out trucks and I barely do it anymore because it's my least effective strategy.  With that being said because I am constantly driving around evaluating other deals in a way I guess you could say I do it everyday.  Your focus should not be on speed or how quick but the depth and the amount of knowledge you can gain from it.

Hi Charles,

Thanks for the advice. I use it 2-3 times a week as a strategy since it is a very low cost way of finding leads.

Wow! That is amazing, I also go driving for dollars at least 3 times a week, it is very valuable because you are finding leads that arent on a list most probably. It takes dedication and effort but could pay off big time.

In cook county illinois I found a property in foreclosure which has no heirs, and thus was given to the public administrator. Further, this property is in pre-foreclosure (~12 months) but has a decent amount of equity. I would like to know how to purchase the property.

I have contacted the probate office but it's been a week and they haven't gotten back. Should I go out of my way to try to find the public administrators direct contact? Is it even possible to purchase this before it goes to auction in some future date? thanks!

 Yes and yes!

My question is this.  Has anyone ever heard of Kent Clothier?  Is he legit?  Is this software system worth it?  On the surface, I'd say yes as it cuts down dramatically on the time it takes to find this data on your own.

I heard of him. Seems legit but thats a load of money

Need some advice on how to go about dealing with an empty lot that someone told me about. Are there Investors who specialize in it?

Last BWI Meet-up there was a speaker who specialized on that ( I don't remember the name) if you reach the organizers they can help you out about the name.

Thank you! Appreciate it, I will ask Bill A.
