@Sarah Buchanan not at this time. We have been changing location every few months it seems. The organizer end up sending out an email the week of with the location.  And I have been trying to make sure to post it on BP.

@benjaminaakar keep an eye out for a meet ups with So falls real estate investing club.  The meet up gets posted a week or two before the event and it is generally on the third Saturday of the month at 9 am and goes about an hour and a half.  You can also find the group under Facebook since not everyone is on BP.

Sounds like you could do well. Learning all you can is great and experience will teach you a lot that you thought you knew. If your looking to get started I would recommend coming to the next meet up in Sioux falls on August 12. There should be a part going up pretty soon.

Thanks Jeff. The fire looked like it was contained in the basement. As the seller tells it the fire started next to the water heater Which ended up taking and putting out the fire.  Which makes you wonder about other issues in the house.

Hey BP,

I'm currently finishing up a renovation on a but and hold property and beginning to look for another property. In my searches I found a for sale by owner that has some fire damage in the basement.  I started thinking this could be a good deal if it could be purchased for the right price.

So my question is does anything change if a place has had a fire in it? Are there any additional steps that need to be taken when purchasing a fire damaged property?
