Looking for an insurance agent for my property in Columbus GA

Am looking to buy a multi unit property in Columbus, OH and trying to estimate what the property tax would be.

I checked in the Franklin county assessor website and was able to find the property tax estimator. (https://audr-apps.franklincountyohio.gov/Calc/TaxEstimate) Based on that estimator, with the current purchase price the property tax would be ~2.5x of what is currently being paid.

This would completely kill the deal for me. Are the number from the estimator accurate or is there a better way to find out the the correct number. Any other strategies to handle this situation?

Looks like i messed up the city.. am looking at Columbus OH and not the city in GA. Not able to edit this post. will duplicate a new one with the right city.

Hi Dan… I am from the Bay Area as well and invest primarily in Atlanta and Omaha, am moving into the Columbus market. Like stocks, i like to diversify in multiple markets but it comes with the overhead of management even if there is full team on the ground. 

All the strategies mentioned in this this forum or others are great, the one that is the best is the one that works for you. Real estate investment in my opinion is a very long game and will take years to build for someone which is not their primary source of income. I am in my 7th year and just getting to my 5th property due to all the other life interrupts.

I am in the process of purchasing a property in Omaha and evaluating DSCR loans for financing. Any lender recommendations for DSCR loans.

Are there any cons for DSCR loans apart from the higher interest rates.
