My 2 cents prolly doesn't matter but while living in my van and moving north and spending 3 months finding a place via craigslist I was attempted scam around 4-5 times a week that's 16 times in a month took me a month and a half to find a place and I must have looked at 150 places from here to Seattle. Just to give you my quick run down. Scammers are a dime a dozen on CL. Proceed with extreme prejudice.

I like some things but others I don't.

Off the top of my head there is a lot of intrusive space being eaten up on my screen. Mainly the bottom panel.

I do like the menu bar at the top but think it could be smaller.

The new Pro and Plus don't look as cool as they were right next to our icons.

Side note... on the app I would like the ability to go right to my posts from my dashboard and not have to hunt down the link to get to the topics I am discussing.

Overall, great work.

Yea love the suggestions here but location Trumps. If the location was right I would seriously consider making it my primary. But I like the "old" architecture. I will never forget the field trip to Newport RI in grade school.

However chopping it up might be more feasible. Condos? Multifamily?

Frat house would be good but I am willing to bet it's 90min+ from even a "community" college. LOL They don't have Frats but you could sell it to the college as an admissions building?

I like the Bed and Breakfast idea too. AirBnB? But again location.

Lastly,

Or perhaps this does not matter unless you are getting into a 5-plex or 6-plex?

Dear BP community,

I am wondering is there is any legality to "Decommissioning" a unit?

Does it simply mean that you can put it "not in use"? as in leave it vacant? Or is there paperwork that needs to be filed to the state/county to make the unit decommissioned? I guess this would be in the case of taxes. Perhaps a buyer would just like to use the other half for storage or for members of his/her immediate family to visit.

I am wondering because I was Navy and "decommissioned" is an old word and perhaps might be used as a legal term?

Thanks in advance.

Someone will chime in with more specific information but I will tell you what I did to get started. I started cold calling RE agents and asking if they were any good? Yea, Yea they all were. LOL I talked a little about real estate then,... and this is with ALL of them they will ask you if you got financing. This is because they don't want to waste their time. I don't blame them. Ask them for how to get financing... usually they will give you their family friend (not always the guy with the best rates/fees) then call another RE agent. Same conversation....blah blah blah. Because who you really want is a "Mortgage Broker" he is the guy who puts your mortgage on the market for all the banks to feed. Each bank will give him their terms and financing and you can decide the best one.

Since I knew no one in this area that knows about such things and because "Mortgage Brokers" usually don't mass advertise for obvious reasons I turned myself into a "Mortgage Broker". Eventually I did find one but now I can add him to the other 4 banks I have pre-approval letters for. So Now I might have 10 banks i can choose from when the right deal comes along.

Now the RE agents will call you back. Then just break it keep the ones you liked and  tell the rest the truth... you were looking for information. i would not see why they would not be cool with it because the big picture was to get you to spend so no matter who you called you were going to spend money on the "Great Real Estate Game".

Hope this helps.
