@Joe Villeneuve

loving your advice.

Question for you-

We have a 15 year mortgage on our first rental w/ 9 years remaining (was our starter home) - leveraging for down payment into the next which will be our second rental (and hopefully doing many more in the same way over time).... the new tenants would be paying doesn’t the equity loans.. is this a good approach ?

Hi ! I saw a post a while ago with an app suggestion for predicting rent but I can’t find the post.

Other than looking at what else is on Zillow, it there is anything, what is a good way to decide the monthly price to rent out your SFH ?

Thanks :)

@Caleb Heimsoth excellent thoughts/advice, thank you

@Courtney Walker agreed. We do the same but $500.

@Alex Olson hi ! I have been looking into this for our rental. What is the benefit of requiring rental insurance ?

@Theresa Harris @Chris John awesome advice

Best bank for a HELOC ? Any pro tips for us?

Thanks!

@Anthony Gayden excellent advice. Financial education is KEY.

I think schools should improve upon the financial Ed that is offered. I would love to see more programs teaching the skills that have made you successful

I also believing parenting is key. I would love for my husband and I to foster or mentor children and show them the key lessons our parents showed us. We aren’t rich and we aren’t perfect.. but we have taken small salaries and saved well and grew, by living beneath our means and paying ourselves first. My heart breaks for those who do not have role models to show them the importance of only buying what too can afford.

God bless !

@Jackson Fairbanks can you do a HELOC to cover down payment ?

@Jonathan Sanchez I think new investors don’t invest enough! Many friends of mine (age 30s) barely putting away 2% 😳
