@Tommy Nastasi I don’t see why it couldn’t work. Are we sure that 100k is fair market value? I feel like Newburgh has really blown up recently.

@Jim S. Awesome post. Any chance you would say what two markets you have been investing in? Are all your purchases in the same two locales?

The multi-families I own are in Albany, NY & St. Louis, MO. I am also looking to buy multi-family properties in Milwaukee, Little Rock, and Omaha eventually. In general the midwest or south are good cashflow markets.

My other random properties are in Colorado, it's getting pretty rough to find a cashflowing market there now.

Not trying to get off topic, but how are your Albany properties performing?  Have you had to deal with any problem tenants?

Hello all!

I’m looking for recommendations on an insurance company. My company (Safeco) is usually fairly low and I’m pricing out insurance for a rental I am thinking of purchasing. I was just looking for other recommendations on who to get a quote with. I would be looking to insure my primary residence, vehicles, potential rental property and umbrella. They would have to cover both NY and AR.

I’d appreciate any recommendations.

@Deborah Hardin, thanks for that information!  How do they work?  Do you have to be present to bid?  Are you bidding for possession of the property listed?

Here is a link to the legislation.  Not sure what is changing, I’ll need to do a little more digging.

@Sam Ferguson

For now, we are looking for rentals. We may be interested in flips a little further on down the road.

I’ll add some more detail. We are looking to connect with realtors starting off and possibly anyone else that could be of value.

IE contractors, lenders etc.

Hello all!

I am relatively new here and I have been consuming as much information about RE investing as I possibly could for about a year now. My wife and I are ready to make the plunge sometime soon and have narrowed our search down to Little Rock, Arkansas. We are looking to make some connections in the area.

We are looking for single family and multi family investments.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
