Mark, I've heard the "hang the hat" term before. I was also aware that there were yearly fees when you obtain your license. That is why I thought if I decide to get it, it wouldn't be starting out as a new investor as it's costly. It seems like a lot when my sole purpose is to use it for investing, but I will have to thoroughly do more research and weigh my options.

I use my phone and tablet and the names weren't coming up with using the @symbol.  I was wondering why, but that may explain it. I'll find out about that, thanks for the information!

Hello @Mark Gruetzmacher, I wasn't sure about how that worked. Working for a company was not what I had in mind as that's one of the reasons I wanted to become an investor. I will look into that, thanks!

Hello @Shelli Calan, I like to have control over my deals as well. It looks like I have quite a bit to consider,  thanks for your advice!

Thanks for your advice @James Wise!

Thanks everyone for your responses!

Hi @Jeremy S- I would be just investing for myself,  but i thought it would be beneficial. Having the license would be important to me, but I wanted to see what others thought about it. Thanks!

Hello @Brian P , I definitely will get the book and look over it. Thanks!

Hello @ Michell Prunty - there are so many factors that come into play with getting a license. Your insight was very helpful! I want to have control over my deals but I don't want to have too much of a load on me. If I invest in apartments, buy and hold would be the route I'd take. I would have to check as you recommended for the mobile homes. Thanks again for your advice!

Hello @Ned Carey!  Yes I was aware that there are not necessarily "official" groups, but I wanted know if there were individuals in the area that were meeting up from BP. Thanks for your response!

@Audrey Truesdale, Hello and thank you!  I'm familiar with the Charlotte area, I lived there for a few years. I'll be sure to reach out if I have I any questions,  thanks!

@James Wise, hello and thank! I'm looking into either apartment complexes or mobile homes.  I'm still undecided and doing my research on the two to try to narrow them down.

Good Evening!

Are there any BP meetup groups in the triad area of Greensboro, NC? I've heard of a few REIA groups in the area, but I wasn't sure if BP had one in the area.

Hello Everyone!!

My name is Krystle and I reside in Greensboro, NC area. I'm a new investor and I have been looking into real estate for under a year now, but I have recently gotten serious about it. I have not done any deals as of yet, but I want to specialize in commercial real estate, either apartment complexes or mobile homes (still undecided).

I have done so much research, watched Videos/podcasts, attended several webinars/seminars, but I'm ready to put this education in action! BP was the best thing that I've come across as it compiles so much info in one place and gives like-minded individuals a platform to interact. Thanks BP and I look forward to this journey with you all!!

@Thomas Neely, thanks for the insight! I've been browsing into getting my license and the online classes you mentioned would best work for me. I'll look more into that, thanks again!
