Thanks Phil.  That's the issue, the property management won't respond, they have been saying for a week that they are waiting to hear from a 3rd party which I am assuming is the owner.  We can't talk to them if they wont respond/engage.  My family member went by the office as well as called multiple times and all they will say is they are waiting on a 3rd party...

So I have a family member doing short term rental of a condo and the condo above flooded their rental.  The property management company has not provided any updates, not provided alternative living and has generally been slow to respond regarding action moving forward but has brought in fans, pulled up the carpet and base boards.  Property is currently unlivable as carpet is pulled up, furniture is stacked up and electrical switches are taped off...property management says they are waiting on response from third party which I am assuming is the property owner.  What is my family member's options?   Thanks in advance.

I use Robert Brandt. He's a partner and bb & d, they are a top law firm in Stl and he invests in real estate as well. I can't speak highly enough about him, he set up my LLC and is helping me expand into more real estate strategically.
