I've never been to the area but knew a person who had some success in Allentown.  Its roughly two and a half hours from where I live and affordable which intrigued me.  I should be heading down in early November or so.

I'm from NY, but have some interest in the Lehigh Valley area myself.  Unlike you though, I havent had my foot in the game yet.  I'm sure you learned an great amount from your first experience even though it didn't go as planned.  Maybe when I visit we can connect some time.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself in this new journey that I plan to take. My name is Lenny and I currently live in Long Island but spend the majority of my time in NYC due to work.

For years I have always been interested in becoming a Real Estate Investor, but have either let negative people talk me out of it, or let small things or my lack of knowledge hold me back from moving ahead.

I came across this site by randomly typing in 'Real Estate forums' into Google, in hopes that in this day and age there is a forum for everything, and sure enough I was right.

After browsing the site for a few minutes, I thought for sure it would prevent me from accessing any extra material due to my past experiences in regards to Real Estate knowledge. By that, meaning that you usually have to pay for any type of advice, tips, or mentoring in regards to the field. Then I realized it was legit, and full of people willing to help just for their love of Real Estate. Which has lead me to become a member and hopefully get help pursuing my dreams and one day hoping to help another just like myself.

I currently do not have any experience in Real Estate Investing, but am looking to purchase buy and hold property in the near future, to eventually replace my current income over time. Most likely out of state due to New York being so expensive. I look forward to joining any meet ups that are going on in the NYC/Long Island area just to surround myself around people who have the same passion, and potentially find a mentor who I can possibly help, while helping me through the process.
