There are always motivated sellers out there. No market is saturated. Everyone needs to know you buy houses. If you have to, contact wholesalers. I'm in MI but not close to GR. That said, I have a friend in GR so I am always open to contracting properties there. I will contact you if I come across something. Good luck ;)

Congrats on the new house.

If you decide to sell the house and use money for a couple of flips, which was how you put it, these are my thoughts:

Use some of the money and do one flip (assuming it's your first flip), and if all goes well, repeat. Definitely don't put all the money in purchasing and rehabbing two at once. This is just my two cents. I haven't done an actual flip yet but I have closed one very lucrative wholesale deal ;). I would start with one and go from there. Good luck!

Will, I'm so sorry you are experiencing this insanity. You have definitely handled it better than I ever would have. They won't completely get away with this because after all-what goes around comes around; karma is a *****. I'm so glad this isn't dissuading you from continuing what you love to do. It's amazing the system is allowing this, especially since he's considered a squatter. Who knew squatters had rights!

It's like a never ending nightmare. You will wake up from it one of these days, though (if you haven't already. I've read to the 2 yr. 4 mo. mark). It can't go on forever.

So much for 'cash for keys' working. This thread has taught me (and others, I'm sure) a ton, so thanks for sharing. I hope to see a new thread soon of your last update and of you IN the house.

Ciao ;)
