Hey all! Does anyone know of any good area in Atlanta for duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes that are in safe areas and would make for good investments? I am in the market for an owner occupied property and am new to the Atlanta area.

I am looking to make my first RE investment in the next 6 months or so. I am currently working on a couple start up companies, but have been interested in REI for a long time and love the possibilities. I am looking into FHA loans and possibly investing in a duplex/living in one side or investing in a SFH.

What're your thoughts and advice for a first time investor looking to obtain an FHA loan and invest in property no more than $250,000 in value.

Hey all. I'm a big fan of the presentation that Brandon Turner put together awhile titled "7 Years to 7 Figure Wealth" (http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/wp-content...) 

For those of you that are familiar with it or check the link out, is this just hypothetical or are there actually multifamily properties out there for this cheap that could produce a cashflow? Interested to hear if anyone has followed a similar path and had success. 

Eventually, my goals are to get into multifamily rentals and apartment complexes, but to start off soon, I'm looking to start with a rehab or SFH rental.

I just joined BP recently as well @Andrew David Evans and am a fellow college student. I've always had a passion for REI from a young age and am ready to start getting my feet wet. Very cool that you're interested in rehabbing. We should chat more in depth sometime soon!
