Any real estate agent in Ohio can represent you in the purchase and sale of real property. If you’re looking for a good commercial broker ask if they own investment property as well.

Personally, I’ve found studios and 1bds to perform the best relative to normal rentals. I cannot speak to the rest of the questions as I’m in Ohio.

@Brandon Sturgill Not too familiar with that but I’ll have to dig more into that, thanks for the suggestion! My partner went to NC State and spent a lot of time in Asheville, Linville, and Sugar Mountain. Lots of activity in the western mountains in the past decade. Will keep you posted!

Columbus, Ohio has seen stable growth with strong rents. There hasn’t been any major rent hikes I’ve seen but as properties are renovated rents go up a lot in %. If there was a lot of turnover in Memphis couldn’t that cause the numbers to be skewed?

Buy everywhere, it’s all great investment properties. If you don’t want C- I’d avoid central hilltop and south linden.

My friend and business partner who I do short term rentals with just moved from Columbus to Raleigh as well. We’re evaluating doing vacation rentals in the western NC mountains. I’d love to connect to learn what results your seeing in the coastal markets there. We evaluated Wilmington for a bit too.

The Midwest has some great markets to offer with affordable price points. Homes start at $50k for single families in solid markets out here.
