Like everyone else appraisal seems high. I was looking at paying around $400 for a SFH in the Annapolis area. Check with the lender to see who they are using and if you can possible get someone else they approve of. You are paying for it so you should be able to at least have a choice even if it is out of a few options they give you.

The next one will be on 6 Jul at 6pm.  They are schedule for the first Wednesday of every month.  After reviewing my calendar I won't be able to make the one in July but I plan to be there in August.

Hello BP Community,

Like many others I have been reading and listening to a lot of material.  

I plan to attend the next local REIA meet up in the Hudson Valley to connect with those in my area face to face.

Strategy - I plan to pursue a buy and hold strategy with SFR or multi family properties. Primarily interested in properties that needs some TLC.

Looking for advice and contacts in the following areas:

Advice - Best places to invest in Orange/Rockland, NY Counties or Bergen/Passaic, NJ Counties

Contacts - Real estate agent, title company and property management in the above areas.

Things I bring to the table are cash and contacts with contractors in the local area.

I appreciate any help sent my way.
