@Jon Passow I think you will find that Columbus, Cleveland, and Indy can all be good for cash flowing rentals.  Thanks,

Alex Corral I invest in Columbus now but I am looking into Cleveland as well. Yes, you need to watch the property taxes in Cleveland. Certain areas are pretty high which will eat into your return. Thanks!

If you qualify for an HSA Plan, make sure you max out your 2017 contribution before 4/15. Gives you a deduction on page 1. Having your wife do real estate so you can write off your losses would be huge. I am trying to get my wife to do the same thing. Thanks,

@Bob Malecki...I talked to a rep at Simplifle. This looked pretty slick, but the do not do any kind of filings or anything if the note is in a Self Directed IRA, which kinda stinks. I will check into eRecording. Thanks

Thank you for the feedback.  So when I called eRecording with CSC, they only assist large title companies or investors who are at least doing 5 recordings a month, which is not me.

Any feedback on any online recordings for the average note investor like myself?  Thanks

Hello,

Quick question.  This is probably somewhere in the thread, but wanted to ask.  I am getting ready to purchase a note where neither the seller nor myself lives in the state where the property is.  All of the paperwork between the assignment of the note between the buyer and seller is being done remotely.  But how do people actually get the note recorded with the county remotely (making sure the mortgage and the note transfer to my name at the county level)?  Do people use CSC e-recording?  Thanks!
