Currently there are a few typical basement windows and a basement door leading to the outside. I would aim to put two rooms in the basement, so curious if I’d have to convert the existing basement windows into escapes or if I could somehow link the rooms to preexisting door.

Hi BP Community!

I have targeted a property in Bridgeport, CT with the hopes of renting it to college students at Sacred Heart University. I have currently put an offer in. In order for the deal to work for me as an investment, I would need to convert some of the living space into bedrooms. I am trying to figure out where to look to see what is legally required to add a bedroom to a house and CT and what would legally classify it as a bedroom. Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated! Also, one of the bedrooms i hope to add will be in the basement, which is already finished and has a separate egress. Thanks in advance.

I currently own a condo in Portsmouth, NH and currently seeking a multi family to grow my portfolio. I am based out of Boston, MA and have heard of fellow Bostonians investing in Providence and RI in general. I am currently learning the market.

Are there any Providence RI investors on here hey could provide some insight on the area?

Does anyone have an RE agent that they would recommend that deals with investors and works in the Providence area?
