@Isacc Lightbourn There have been a couple multi family’s that have come up that I would’ve jumped on but the location deterred me. Many areas have rock bottom school ratings and the communities aren’t in the best shape.

@Bruce Glenn Hey Bruce! Birmingham is nice...and a much needed change of pace from NY. I’m from upstate as well, Albany. I was hesitant at first but the transition has been smooth and feel like this is a much more forgiving market to get started investing in...I’m grateful for that alone!

Hello BP Community!

As a short introduction, I started following BP back in 2013 having always wanted to get into real estate. The community and podcasts always were able to get the gears turning but I would end up convincing myself I couldn’t pull it off in my market (Young and scared.)

In late 2019 my wife and I relocated from NY to Birmingham, AL where we purchased our first SFH with the "buy and hold" strategy in mind. Finally we are in a position to venture onto our second property and will begin adapting BRRRR in the near future. We are both enthusiastic about rehabbing and creating livable environments while also providing a "passive" income that will allow us to enjoy our time with our kids.

I’ve read the books, now it’s time to get to work. I’m always looking for learning experiences and/or partnerships so If you need anything in the Birmingham area please don’t hesitate to reach out!
