I  am in a similar situation. I own a small home in NC with no liens on the property. I am closing today, on an owner financed property. The property needs less than $10,000 in repairs and updates. It is close to universities, downtown and hospitals. How can I access the equity in the free and clear property to make the needed repairs. My credit score is low so bank lending is out. In additio, I need access to the funds rather quickly.
