No, she probably changed CPAs over the bait-and-switch followed by a letter that threatened a lawsuit.

 Please take note that this is because almost all initial charges are "stacked" (Google it). When people are facing 20 years but can't afford an attorney, they plead guilty. If it gets taken to trial, which is rare, you often see the stacked charges dismissed by the judge, dropped by the prosecution, or acquitted by the jury while the actual charges stick. Your statements about nobody going to prison for a first offense unless it is homicide is bone-headed.

Tell that first CPA to F off. Ignore his letters and that of his attorneys, if they come. If he sues you in small claims court, show up, argue your case, and win. CPAs are turning into lawyers...and we all know how highly lawyers are esteemed.
