I work exclusively with investors and have my own portfolio as well. Live-in flips and rehabs are my personal favorite. I have a client wrapping up a fantastic reno on a 1960s home in Crestview. I'd be happy to speak with you about the area and introduce you to some lenders who have worked with other VA clients as well as connect you with some of the contractors I refer my other clients to. Inventory is tight right now to say the least, but will hopefully loosen up over the winter.
Fantastic, Poem. I'd love to chat!

@Miles Veney I just bought another FHA duplex and it was just finished being rehabbed! What part of town are you looking in or are you still figuring that out?
I'm not super hung up on where. I guess wherever I can find the best deal...My company's HQ is in Round Rock but coming from Boston I am too familiar with a morning commute.
Hey everyone,
I am a first time buyer from Boston looking to move to the Austin area for work. I will not be making the move until the Spring, but I will be visiting Austin next month and would like to connect with some folks while I am down there. I am currently looking for recommendations for an investor friendly real estate agent and local lenders.
Ideally, I am looking for a SFH to do a live and flip and turn into a long term rental. I'm a vet so I plan on using VA or FHA which of course means the property can't need too extensive of a renovation. Something dated with good bones would be right up my alley. I do not really have a time constraint as I am working remotely so I am interested in entertaining short sales as well.
Additionally, I am a fresh college grad and would love to connect and learn from a current investors in the area. I'd be happy to help out and learn in the process!
Cheers,
Miles
