@Darren Sager Thanks for the informative welcome! I'll be at the REIA meeting next week for sure!
@Paul Timmins The podcasts are a great heads-up. I hadn't even thought about that, and I already like listening to them as is any way.
@Phillip Dwyer Phil! Thanks for reaching out. I will definitely be in touch, hopefully sooner than later.

Hey BP
So I want to start real estate investing but am unsure of which, in any, business entity I should utilize at this point. I intend to buy between one and four properties that may or may not be in the current state I reside in; this is all contingent on the opportunities that present themselves or as I uncover them myself. With that said, what are the pro's and con's of each? Is there a definitive best one to use? Who/what do I need to contact in order to get my entity off the ground?

Hey Will
Welcome to BP too I guess haha. I'm not going to lie; I had to look up Mattaponi to know where it is. I'm assuming you will be investing in your local area?

Hey BP!
Newbie living in Brooklyn, New York; just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am a freelancer (in an industry other than real estate) in my late 20s with a strong desire to get my real estate investing business off to a great start. I don't have a real estate background or a lot of experience. What I do have is a strong desire and drive to learn, absorb, and grow so that I may become a successful investor.
The reason I say I am kind of from New York is because while I may live in NY, I am not necessarily looking at the NY market only. I am originally from San Francisco, and I have family members and family friends who are also real estate investors. They are in other markets such as Las Vegas, Oregon, and Northern California. With that said, I see both pro's and con's of playing in an inflated NY market versus using my current connections in a smaller (less lucrative?) market. I'm not 100% which market I should go for first.
Any way, just wanted to hello, and happy hunting! I would appreciate any questions, comments, or criticisms.
