ok another question then. My last 5 houses may have had that asbestos tile and glue, however my ignorance was in play and did not know about the tile and mastic tape contained asbestos or really the problems associated with asbestos. So my question is with this house since I took up the tile should I have it skim coated now? The floor is a black coating over the cement which was the glue correct? I'm thinking I better go get my lungs check as well has anyone had to get checked? I have taken up 5 floors of small homes(650 sq feet each give or take a few) with tile only having a mask on half the time but I am having no chest pain or anything weird.....

Just took up some commercial carpet that was in the kitchen(yes the kitchen) of a rental I just got and it was glued down to the concrete. There was also glue all over the floor from old floor tiles from a long time ago I assume from when the house was built. Do I need to remove the glue or can I skim coat right over the glue or is that a bad idea???

In ohio I can't file until after the tenants 3 day pay/vacate is up. LIke you are saying why filing changes anything except that it costs the business owner/landlord more money potentially idk so check your states landlord/tenant laws

I did that this year and I definitely know better. I was working on my next home and with a kid and wife on opposite schedules at work my mind was everywhere else. It sucks and then IDK about your bank but Chase bank charged me a butt load of charges on the bounced check. I was so mad and O my Gosh I am currently evicting them! My first eviction in 5 years all because I had a moment of idiocracy...

So part of my business plan was to buy simple houses. I one floor, no basement smallish houses 700 to 1100 square feet. These are generally 2 bedroom. So this has led me to 5l6 great houses albeit they are all exactly or very close to the same exact layout. They were all built between 1950 and 1960ish. One little problem I keep encountering is the drywall when I have to put a patch piece of drywall in the original drywall is less the a 1/2 inch but more than the 3/8. So do I just use 3/8 and add some drywall patch a couple times til it's the same width or is there any easier way I haven't come to realize yet? Generally it is only a small door hole from door lock or something as a plant holder screw etc. Anyone else have this problem and/or annoyance?
