I am a licensed broker in North Carolina. I have worked with wholesalers and their assignment forms. I have no problem with that. That realtor probably just didn’t understand what they were looking at.

If I could go back in time to when I was a Freshman in 1983, I would probably major in  marketing, finance, accounting and/or psychology. You may use them all in the Real Estate industry. My major was Television Production and Technical Theater and I feel more prepared for Real Estate than Business Majors who are not Extroverts that talk to over 100 people a week about real estate.....  Experience is the Best Teacher! Get yourself in to some deals, the rest will come!

Thank you Jake. Yes, you have a great point! I became interested in Investing for myself because of my Investor clients. Just wondering about others experiences. I seemed to get pulled back into my brokerage activities when I should be giving more attention to my investment activities..... I am sure it will come, just need to be more accountable to myself when it comes to my Investment business. Thank you for your comments!

Wearing 2 hats may be challenging to a Newbie Investor that has been a long time realtor. What did you do to make a successful transition to Investor?
