welcome Chance. I currently live in Charlotte NC and have my residence on the market. Once it sells my family will be moving to Myrtle Beach. We bought a one bedroom vacation condo in Myrtle a few months ago and want to add more properties.

Welcome @Matt McCourry .  I am actually moving from the Charlotte NC area to the Myrtle Beach area within the next few months.  We are in the midst of putting our house on the market.  We bought a condo in Myrtle Beach a few months ago, right on the water that we are renting out.

Is there a website for the Myrtle REIA? I couldn't find it? I would like to start networking with others in the Myrtle area

I'm new to real estate investing, but biggest difference is properties are a lot cheaper down in NC compared to NY. From what I have seen NC prices have been coming back. NY,especially the area I was from, the prices are kinda deflated still. It's definitely different in the south.  Just make sure to have as much NY pizza and cannolis before you move down here. Only a handful of very good pizza places down here.  Good luck to you.

@Tom Devost my wife just bought a myrtle beach vacation rental. It's on the top floor and right on the water.  I'd like to talk to you, to see if you can help get it rented in the winter months, since the previous owner didn't rent it much in the winter.

I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Mark Wesley and I am new to real estate investing.  It is something I have wanted to do for years, however, as a securities broker, I was not able to do it. I resigned as a securities broker after 18 years, to move into real estate.

I have read the bigger pockets beginners guide, listened to some podcasts and joined my local REIA. I will be listening to a handful of podcasts each week to get caught up.

I  am looking for a mentor and I am very eager and willing to do what it takes to make this work.  I am interested in rehabbing and wholesaling.
