@Mike Hurney @Robert Adams @Aaron Montague How often do they offer these classes? Everything I see on the website right now is for landscaping. I'd like to learn some of these skills before I invest in my first property. I imagine I'll have to do a bit of work once I'm an owner.

Hey members. Does anyone living in Massachusetts know of any DIY classes in the area. I'd love to learn how to do various things like hardwood flooring, tile, etc. etc. Thanks!

@Paul Timmins Thanks for the tips. I think I'm definitely going to check out "The Book on Estimating ReHab Costs."

Thanks @Matt M.! I'd love to get into a 3 family but my budget will only allow a 2 family. Maybe in the near future though.

@Mike Hurney I'm looking mainly south of the city. Anything too close to the city is outside my price range. Not much on the market right now for what I'm looking for but keeping my eyes open!

Hey BP members! I'm a newbie to real estate investing and I'm looking to learn as much as I can as fast as I can. I'm in the market to finally move on from renting and looking to purchase my first property in the Boston, MA area. I'm thinking about buying a multi-family (2 units) property as an owner/occupy to start my investing and set myself up for future success. Looking forward to networking with other members and excited to be a part of the BiggerPockets community!
