@Alex Butz

It's cashflowing decently but no as much compared to what we read people are doing back in the States. I completely agree on the Skytrain strategy, I had tons of inquiries of people wanting to rent after i posted it.

I worked with Gloria from TD i can share with you her number if you like, she knows what shes doing and is an investor herself.

@Lorin K.

I have a primary residence and an awesome Mortgage broker. She was able to setup me up with a line of credit and put the property on second position for my mortgage.  I was fortunate enough not to spend a single $ on this transaction.

Im considering investing down south too, at this time though Im trying to beef up a Canadian portfolio. Will keep it in mind..Thanks

@Nes Canada - It's true - there are few from BC on the board! Most of the Canadian investors are in the GTA. Either way, welcome and congrats on your first deal!

 Thank you very much! Was considering looking at Winnipeg to invest in since there the prices haven't skyrocketed yet

I do have some pics will try to upload soon, I'm in MX and the wifi disconnects every so often :(

Hi Kristoffer,

Looks like we are both form BC and from PH. This is an awesome place to get information from.

I just posted a success story (which the mods needs to verify first). There are lots of opportunities here and lots of information.  One of my next steps is to acquire a property in the Island around Sunshine Coast or Salt Spring Islands.

Hi everyone just like the title says  I was able to close and take possession of my first Vancouver BC rental property. Already had some minor renovations done and have a tenant moving in on the 15th for $1600/mo.

The property is a 1 BR condo unit close to a skytrain (train :) ) asking was $300k did some back and forth and closed at $295k, strata fee is $200 a month. Put in some new crown mouldings, baseboard, refinished the bath tub spent around $3000.

Been a lurker in BP for a while and never expected to get so much information that helped me out.

Excited on getting the next couple of properties. I'm just a bit perplexed why people from BC Canada aren't too active here, I know our market specially Vancouver is on the extreme side but there are deals to be had.
