@Joshua Wofford
Just did some brief searches on realtor.com and Zillow.com for sale and for rent so I can’t say for sure but I would say yes. I’m only an hour away so I’m hoping to drive around the area real soon.

Im interested in Shreveport/Bossier area as well. I’m not too familiar with the neighborhoods but I’m seeing some what appear to be ok deals around barksdale. I’m in Longview and deals seem to be a little tougher to get around here

Hi jay,
I haven’t used etpcu yet but plan to. They will finance a rehab project with 10% down of the acquisition cost and finance all rehab work as long as you have 20% equity when the rehab is complete. 5% on a 5/1 over 20 years.
Welcome to east Texas!!

Nice to meet you as well!! I’m a newbie so I’m still searching for my first deal. But the house I’m about to list is a family member’s that is moving and I’ll be managing it. But my plan is to list it on Zillow and FB market place. I’ve seen a few listed on FB. I know what you mean about comparing listings to Austin… I’ve done that when looking at Houston. Seems to make it a little more challenging when trying to find rental comps around here. Rentometer seems to be off on their estimates from what I’ve seen. How did you find your liberty city deal? Is a single family house?

I’m about to list a house for rent in Kilgore. From my research the demand is there but supply is low. I plan on listing a little higher than what a PM rented the exact same house for 2 doors down. The pm is Reliable Management. I have no other experience with them otherwise. I’m not too familiar with liberty city but it seems like the rental market is really hot everywhere in east Texas.

Are you sure about that? Is there some source material on this? My lender recently quoted me 15% down and I saw rhat was the minimum DP on the Fannie Mae website (I believe).
