Vegas has slowed some last couple months. # REO's for sale has diminished making short sales more active ... inventory still struggles to keep pace with demand for investment/starter homes.

Vegas prices (at least for the mid-to-low end homes) stablized last summer .... article below points that out. And like most everywhere else, folks concerned about departure of the tax credit and Vegas continues to lead the nation in foreclosures.

Their basis for qualifying folks is so out-dated and at a minimum requires a major overhaul if not outright abolishing - just look at our current crisis for evidence of this.
