Post: PM Recommendation for Orange County area

Hi All,

So I'm starting to get closer to have enough money to purchase my first rental property (nervously excited!) and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on PM companies you've used in the Orange County region.

I know people might think that 1 property for a PM is an unneeded cost for my analysis, but with my work schedule (5 AM to 6-7 PM ) theres literally no free time on the weekdays / very little on the weekends for me to manage it on my own.

Any recommendations / suggestions for the whole PM sector is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

-Michael

Hi All,

So I'm looking into purchasing my first investment property and I'm trying to put together a general estimate of of overhead costs and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a local handyman / know where to find one?

Also, what would be the typical commission for their services?

Feedback is appreciated!

Thanks,

Wow lots of awesome feedback!

Basically what I got from it all was I'll be Youtubing how to be a handy man and ditching the idea of a PM! lol ;)

Generally speaking, is it a lot of maintenance when dealing with a first time purchase property? (plumbing, electricity etc. )

Hi All,

So I have a job pulling in easy 60 hour/week and thought about the whole "do it yourself handy man" type deal with a rental property but honestly I don't think it'd be beneficial / efficient for my end.

Whats everyone's thoughts of hiring a property manager to deal with any hassle/ repairs / fixes/ rent collections etc.?

Any tips / suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi All,

I've been reading various articles regarding renting but wanted to ask from experience what people think regarding buying rental property in a medium/low vs medium income location?

Say for instance if you had to choose between buying a quadplex in a lower income neighborhood or 2 separate homes in a well off medium income neighborhood, which would you choose? (with both options being practically the same price).

Tips/thoughts and recommendations are extremely appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike
