@Jeffrey Price Welcome! I too just joined. I’m actually stationed in C Springs currently and was looking for a property, but as @Colin Smith mentioned it’s a buyers’ market. Good thing I didn’t start a purchase because on my first day of work I got a deployment!  

@ NA Mace I was stationed at JBMDL my last tour and bought a townhome in Mt. Laurel. That one is generating a positive cash flow. That’s a great area to look at since its close to many businesses and I-295.

Hello Bigger Pockets Community! My name is Patrick, and I'm married with 2 daughters (4 and 2 yrs old). I'm a Major in the USAF (Civil Engineer and EOD by trade), currently stationed at Peterson AFB, Colorado, but I'm writing from Djibouti Africa where I'm deployed. My family and I will move to Guam next year for a 3 year tour, and who knows from there! I've been on active duty for 11 years now and while stationed in Florida we bought our first single family home which we rent out. While stationed in New Jersey for the past 3 years we purchased a townhome which we also rent out. Our family goal is to settle down in Delaware in 9 years (my retirement target), and we'd like to replace my income with rental properties in Kent county, Delaware. I've recently found this site, and think this will be a great resource to learn more about many aspects of rental property investments (insurances, tax advantages, cash flow, LLC). I just downloaded the eBook and will be reading through that in my spare time, and plan to frequent the site to develop a plan and goals for the near and long term. I look forward to learning and growing with this community!
