I am looking at buying a place in Michigan, next door to my parents. The owner has let the house go, looks bad. I want to see if there is any liens on it now. I know it was about to go up for auction and he saved it, but he was getting power illegally and has been cut off. He owes nothing on it, but back taxes are about 20,000. Before I talk to him, I want to have an idea of any possible liens. Is there a good place to do a title search online?

I am looking at getting started and want to make sure I have access to the MLS as needed. From reading numerous post, It seems like getting my license would be the smart thing. Where did you Arizona agents take your classes?

What is the best way to figure out ARV? is it comps in local area? Should I have my realtor run those?

If you buy a house and want to do most of the minor work (flooring, paint, lights) are you allowed to do it as a homeowner?

I am completely lost about how to get "money" to get a first house. I have been reading and still not sure where to look. The Idea of Wholesaling sounds like a good way to start, just not sure how to really go about it. I was wondering if anyone has any good sites or articles on how to get money and a more in depth explanation of how wholesaling works. 

I am starting to look at finding a home to flip here in Phoenix. Is the market strong enough to do so. Any Phoenix flippers on here.
