Hi @Rosalina Brenda Berk ,

I like reading intros and all the lofty goals & advice, but rarely do you hear what people have decided on and how. Do you mind sharing a little update as to how things are going? I'm kinda in the same boat as you.

Welcome @Emerson Miranda , you're in the right place. Just starting as well, but in a few short weeks have already connected with some great people. Let me know if I can be of help in any way.

Thanks for the people that have reached out. Most have said there is a conflict with this Saturday. If there is a better date/time please let me know.

Hi, I figure there must be people like me out there:

- Relatively new or brand new investor

- Live in Los Angeles or Southern California

- Been reading & learning a ton from BP & other sources

- Motivated to take action in 6-12 months but haven't decided where/how to start

If so, thought it'd be nice to get a small group of 6-8 people together to learn from and support each other along this journey. BP forums are great, but nice to meet face to face once in a while. May be a little last minute, but would like to meet informally & casually near Marina del Rey next Saturday (4/5) for coffee or another time/day if more convenient. (Time & Location TBD).

Only requirement is that you've read http://www.biggerpockets.com/real-estate-investing and that you're willing to share your experience or lack there of, what you've learned, and are looking to support other members of the group.

Feel free to PM or reply to this post if interested, will close the group after meeting a certain number (want to keep small & effective), thanks...

@Jay Hinrichs Just happened to stumble on their meeting page today, already signed up to be there. Can't wait to hear you speak. I'll make sure I introduce myself to you. Thanks for the info.

@Mike D'Arrigo Ahh, I get it. Thanks for explaining the structure more clearly. So many players in this game.

@Jay Hinrichs How can you tell the difference between the marketing company and the turnkey people actually in the market? They all seem to say the same thing on their websites, that these certain properties are available to you & intro financial numbers.

@Denny Moody Thanks for starting this discussion. I had some similar questions and many of them are getting answered right in front of my eyes.

Just sounds like a difference in philosophies between everyone: In-state vs. Out-of-state, Flipping vs. Buy/Hold. Really interesting because I'm on the fence about all these and there are good points all around. Is it unrealistic to hope to do it all while doing this part time?
