You want to get pre-approved as early as possible in the process because obtaining pre-approval is a step with no dependencies. You don't even have to know which house you're looking to buy.

My VA loan pre-approval process took 4 months. It takes much less for conventional mortgages.

Hello BP!

Where's the best place to search for MFH?

I'm looking to use my VA Loan in Howard County, MD but the MLS doesn't yield any results (for Howard County, MD). Zillow has no MFH option.

Thank you in advance!

Airbnb has been fantastic in my experience. My wife and I used it on two occasions: in Miami Beach and in Croatia. While I don't remember the numbers, Airbnb was much less expensive than going the hotel route.

I have not hosted Airbnb yet because I prefer a more hands-off approach (long-term tenants).

@Ned Carey

How do you personally go about finding the phone number of the property owner?

What website do you go to find this information? Is it free?

I've heard some use WhitePages. Did WP yield reliable results for you?

The property belongs to an absentee owner who has been served a Notice of Default in April.

Is it legal for me to talk to her?

Thanks in advance!
