@Jeffrey Hotz, Last June, my wife and I attended a discovery day meeting in Dallas.  We were very impressed and met a lot of franchisees.  We live in Uvalde, TX which is a small town about 1.5 hours west of San Antonio and close to 2 hours from my house to San Antonio.  From what I understand, Homevestors has a population requirement for the cities they market to, so we would have to buy a San Antonio franchise.  The reason we have not pulled the trigger is because of the distance.  I currently have a full time job and would not be able to move.  Beside, we live in the country with acreage and love it.

So my question is, there are other small towns between Uvalde to San Antonio.  Would we be able to have these territories to market to instead of San Antonio?  Any recommendations, thoughts, etc?

Good morning! I just purchased my franchise from an existing franchise owner who is semi-retiring.

How have the last 6 months go for you guys? How much are you investing? Do you already have a buyer doing the work for you or are you going out on the appointments yourself?

Thank you!

Hi Pace,

How were you able to find someone selling their franchise? Would it be more cost effective going that route?

Thanks!

Phill

@Paul Williams & @Daniel McGrenehan,

My wife and I are also looking into franchising with them.  We were at their mid-year convention in Dallas for the Discovery Day.  I'd like to hear about anyone's experience with the company, etc.

 Hey Rick,

Can you PM me the name of the "large wholesalers" you don't recommend?  We were toying with the idea of going through a wholesaler.

@Rich Ferradino

Knippa is very small and very limited on the job market.  So yes, there are a lot of commuters from Knippa.  Contractors pricing can vary and is hard to find quality workers.  The pricing is a little more than San Antonio, but you can find some good "cheap" labor but than don't expect them to get the job done in a timely manner.  I can recommend two separate contractors if you want.  One is a two man team (mom and pops type operation) and very cheap but good quality work.  However, he is very (and I stress very) slow.  The other is a higher end company that will get the job done in a timely manner, but will be a little more on the higher price side.

PM me if you are interested.
