@David W. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give him a call come Monday!
Hello all,
I'm hoping to network with any realtors in the Huntsville, Al market. My day job interacts with companies in the Huntsville area and it's always interested me. I'm hoping to speak with any real estate agents in the area. Looking forward to it!

@Christopher Smith my concern is asset protection. In your case how are you mitigating the risk of any potential litigants coming after your assets?

@Christopher Smith I see where you're coming from. I was hoping to hear if anyone figured out if there is a legitimate alternative to this. I'll probably end up reaching out to someone to get more info.

I understand that being from California, one is obligated to pay the California Franchise Tax Board for every LLC owned whether it's in state or out.
If one owns multiple multi-family buildings out of state with each one having it's own LLCs, you have to pay California the franchise fee for each LLC. Is it possible to structure all of the aforementioned entities into one umbrella LLC such that the umbrella LLC is majority owner in any state and you (the physical person) is the minority owner in California? and would this consolidate all the LLC payments (from owning mulitple buildings) to one LLC payment (from the umbrella)?
Thanks,
