Hey there, I'm getting into this, too.  I'm still studying up on it but from what I've read so far, it's a matter of footwork.  Talking to the homeowner or getting in touch with the trustee/attorney in charge of the property.  Also, you should be able to get some information from the county records.

I got a referral for a real estate attorney here in KC. Let me caveat this with - I have not checked them out. I do not know a thing about them. It was just word-of-mouth. I am not at the point to find an attorney yet but have them on my list to visit. Therefore, I have no links or ties with them. They do have a website, www.kidwell-conkright.com, and this is all I know about them.

Hi @Angie B. Welcome from a fellow Kansas City member. I have yet to begin investing. Still in the learning phase. But I like hearing stories of those that have already been successful in the strategies I hope to use. I am up north, which is where I plan to begin. What part of the city do you invest in?

I live up north in Gladstone...which is the area I plan on beginning my investing. I know the Brookside area. There are some very nice houses there.

Hi...from another KC, MO person. I just found this site a couple of weeks ago & it has a ton of information. I am very new to RE investing & have yet to really begin. I am soaking up all the info I can & when the time is right...I hope to begin. What area are you from?
