Rick Hanley has 25+ years of Real Estate investment experience, including 10+ years as a Commercial Realtor selling apartment buildings. He currently owns 250+ rental units (mostly small apartment buildings) in Washington state. His portfolio is comprised of 120+ units in eastern Washington, Bremerton 100+ units and University Place 30 units. Investment strategy is to Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance and Repeat with a long-term hold objective.

Retired from Boeing in 2014, he was a Senior Financial Analyst.

REAPS Annual Investor House Tour and BBQ
Saturday, July 13, 2019 – 11 am – 2:30 pm

It's that time again! REAPS Kitsap is holding its annual Investor House Tour and BBQ! Here's your chance to get 'in the field' training by touring a house that is in need of a complete renovation. Come to learn and ask questions as you meet other professionals in the real estate industry that will be on hand to show you the ins and outs of flipping a house. You will help develop a scope of work and repair estimate, and then get your chance to compare your work with others, including the pros!

Afterward, we'll head over to the newly renovated Manette Park in Bremerton where you can enjoy great food and drink at the BBQ, network with investors and just have a great time! Kids are welcome to come, Manette Park has a brand new playground that the little ones will love! REAPS will be grilling up burgers, dogs and veggie patties, feel free to bring a side to share!

If I only knew then what I know now… a brief journey of a RE Investor into the world of Mortgages

John has invested in real estate since the 1980s and became a Loan Officer in the 1990's. He still plays in both worlds. John enjoys educating his clients to their options and helping them think outside the box in designing solutions to their needs. Gena Horiatis was a stay-at-home mom and wife for twenty years after having a career at IBM. She was teaching piano lessons as two of her four children entered college; money became an issue. She discovered real estate investing from an infomercial, got educated and changed her world! She has done flips, rentals and lease options in her local and remote markets. Her son John joined as her business partner, and she retired her husband, allowing him to pursue his passion for acting, while they live on passive income from rentals. Loving to teach and give back, she has mentored new real estate investors around North America and abroad for the last five years. Mr. Exeter is based in the company's National Corporate Headquarters Office located in San Diego, California.

Mr. Exeter has been in the banking, trust and fiduciary services industry since 1980. He began specializing in real estate tax strategies in 1985 with a special emphasis in 1031 and 1033 Exchanges as well as Self-Directed IRAs.
