Here's my take on the websites.

In today's world, they are a MUST for real estate investors. Websites help you become credible, get exposure on the internet and your local market, and help you build your list.

I know that I lot of people are afraid of building a website because of html, php, and other codes.

However, what if I told you that you can have a website in the next 5 minutes with no knowledge of html or any codes? Would you be up for that? I hope so. Well, here it is...

http://wordpress.org

Wordpress is a blogging software. You install it on your hosting server in like 5 minutes. There are hundreds of themes that you can apply to the blog. The best part is that Google loves wordpress.

if you post something to the blog on regular basis, your blog will be indexed by google fairly quickly. Just make sure that your posts are high quality and provide great content for your target market.

There is a lot to be said about blogs and I can't go into it because I could write an entire ebook about it. So if you have any questions, pm me or post it here and I'll be more than happy to answer it for you.

One last tip, link back to your blog by commenting on authority sites such as biggerpockets.com and your site will be indexed into Google even faster.

Oh, If you can find an authority site with a do-follow on their links, your blog should be indexed on Google the same day.

I agree with Duncan,

Google Adwords is in most cases cheaper and you can control it, adjust it, target it, and your results with be visible quicker.

And if something is not working out, you can quickly adjust the ad, keywords and target market.

The best part, you can start building your list of buyers or investors in the next 5 minutes.

And if you want to pursue direct mail, I would suggest sending out a yellow letter. It might cost more but your ROI will be better.

By the way, typical direct mailing gets about 1-3% return. If you can get 1-3% of people to call you back, your doing pretty good.

Search Marketing allows you to test and tweek everyday.. You cant do that with postcards. Just think outside the box when it comes to keywords and the profile of the people who are motivated..

I don't believe that web advertising is dead. if anything is falling then its the newspapers and "interruption advertising" such as TV commercials and such.

There are tons of ways to advertise on the web. The best part is that you are no limited to that one person that reads the paper. On the internet, your message can spread.

Use video, audio, free ebooks, joint ventures, ezinearticles and most importantly, this site.

Joshua has put together a great site, use it.

We just got our new site and now we are struggling with which way to market the site.
Which way have you guys seen better ROI, internet or newspaper?
Thank you

Web advertising is mostly dead. Your only real remaining option is google adwords. The only reason to use Web ads over traditional methods is Web ads don't require any real work on the advertiser's part.

It all depends what you want to do. Do you want to brand a company or yourself? For real estate investing purposes, I would use a made up name that's not too long.

But if you are planning on branding yourself, grab a domain name with your name in it. You can use it to brand yourself and become an expert/authority in your niche.

I totally agree with Joshua. There are dozens of ways you can use the internet to make money. But in the end, you need to love what you are doing because if you don't, you won't put forth the effort to do it right, or do it at all.

Here are some examples:
sell other peoples products as an affiliate
create your own product and sell it on your site
create your own product and sell it on sites such as clickbank
Interview people, record it and then sell it and/or give it away to build your list...
Find and flip houses using the internet, a.k.a. virtual investing
flip websites

I can keep going. If you have any questions, contact me. I hope this helps.

I've seen Nick before in a seminar. He was awesome. He ended up being the best speaker out of everyone there.

As for his product, I've never used them so I couldn't tell you exactly. From what I hear, his stuff is pretty good.

Richard Roop is really good and his material is top notch. I had a privilege working with him on one of my products and he is very genuine and helpful.

If you can pay for his products, you won't go wrong. Invest and take action. Good luck,

One of the easiest ways to get more products sold is to create an affiliate program. Basically, you setup a program on your site where people can signup for free. In turn, you will provide them with a coded link (there is a software that does that for you) and they can go out into the world and start selling your product with their coded link.

They'll drive more traffic to your site, sell your products for you and in turn, you give them commision for their trouble. I recommend you give them at least 30% commission,

Remember, higher your commissions, more people will be inclined to sell your products.

One more thing, don't forget to build your list on that page by adding a squeeze page.
